I’m home!! first thing I did? dyed my hair… and my brows too. it feels so strange seeing myself like this — still not sure if I like this darker brow color. maybe I just need time to get used to it.

I felt really low today. I found out that a relative of mine is in critical condition, and it brought up a lot of thoughts I usually push away. I talked with my parents and sister — she's my closest person, and having her support today meant everything. I cried, cried a lot, let myself feel it all. one unexpected thing that made me feel a little better was looking through old notes from my mom and childhood pictures. my sister and I went through them together, and it felt warm, nostalgic, almost healing. I also got myself some japanese food for dinner as a small treat. between the earthquake yesterday and everything today, my head feels heavy. I’ll try to get some sleep, and hope tomorrow is easier.

I experienced an earthquake in Bangkok today. I was in a cafe when the shaking hit. it lasted about 30 seconds, and at first, I thought the cafe was… floating?? it felt like I was on a boat. for a moment, I seriously thought the cafe was on water… or, something like a giant air mattress lol people panicked, ran outside — I followed after a moment. the city after was chaotic — metro stopped, streets blocked, people sitting outside with luggage, evacuations happening. it’s surreal, and the news is full of updates. but I’m safe. hoping there’s no more tonight.
