today, I’m leaving Bangkok and heading back to my city~ what was supposed to be a short trip turned into nearly two weeks. I’m so glad I got to spend this time here — I love this city so much and can’t wait to make it my home.

I found the perfect one, and I’m ridiculously happy about it. can’t wait to start using it tonight! >my whole day was filled with Japanese food. I felt really low today. I found out that a relative of mine is in critical condition, and it brought up a lot of thoughts I usually push away. I talked with my parents and sister — she's my closest person, and having her support today meant everything. I cried, cried a lot, let myself feel it all. one unexpected thing that made me feel a little better was looking through old notes from my mom and childhood pictures. my sister and I went through them together, and it felt warm, nostalgic, almost healing. I also got myself some japanese food for dinner as a small treat. between the earthquake yesterday and everything today, my head feels heavy. I’ll try to get some sleep, and hope tomorrow is easier.

I experienced an earthquake in Bangkok today. I was in a cafe when the shaking hit. it lasted about 30 seconds, and at first, I thought the cafe was… floating?? it felt like I was on a boat. for a moment, I seriously thought the cafe was on water… or, something like a giant air mattress lol people panicked, ran outside — I followed after a moment. the city after was chaotic — metro stopped, streets blocked, people sitting outside with luggage, evacuations happening. it’s surreal, and the news is full of updates. but I’m safe. hoping there’s no more tonight.

had a pretty unique experience — I spent the night in a co-working space. I found a 24/7 spot with nap areas and thought it'd be fun to try sleeping there. some people actually do it, so it’s not exactly forbidden, but… it still felt weird. in the end, I only managed to sleep for two hours because I was too anxious. instead, I spent time doodling, listening to music, and did nothing much.
