Today we had a visual learning exercise in the types of nitrogen-containing bases that pair together through hydrogen bonds to form the rungs of DNA. What we did not learn today is if adenine and thymine ever connect directly to cytosine or guanine. We also don't know what a nitrogen-containing base is. I mean we assume it's a base containing nitrogen and we know bases are the opposites of acids but we actually don't know why. Research for tonight or tomorrow.
