FOOOOOD LOVERS! Are you ready? Foodgasms coming up!!! I created a poll two days ago about whether you wanted to hear about Rome's best tiramisu or the best pasta and pizza. It seems like you guys are more salty than sweet. Talking about food here, pervs! The second option won, so here it is! The place is called Pasta e Vino Osteria. On TripAdvisor, it's ranked 39th out of over 10,000 restaurants in Rome. Okay, I'll admit it, it didn't make top-20, so it can't be as good as me, but it's still pretty darn good ;) The good thing about this restaurant? Don't expect any touristic trap or that shit some of those Rome restaurants try to make you ingest. Hey, talk about a great business. You just have to be located close to a major tourist attraction, and you can charge 25 euros for a can of soup and some store-bought pasta. Trust me; your terrace will be packed with fuckers falling for it. I've seen it. And I've been one of the imbeciles the first time I was in Rome. I learned through time and experience. You NEED to do your research beforehand when you're going to such popular tourist destinations. Well, if you want to eat great local food, you have to. If you're just happy eating shit, I won't be judging you. But you won't be bringing me to any restaurant any time soon then! LOL I Back to our main topic: Pasta e Vino Osteria. It's a small restaurant. In Canada, we're used to restaurants opening at 11 AM for lunch. I think it's pretty much the same thing in the USA from what I remember (hey, haven't been in a year, I'm starting to forget!!!) So, both times, I got there around 11ish. I was super hungry, as with the jet lag, I am usually up around 5 AM to start my day in Europe. Anyhow, Europe isn't Canada. It was opening at noon. I looked like a pasta craving slut waiting at their door for an hour! LOL Once they finally dare to open their doors, and after seeing the staff get inside one by one (there was one guy on a cool scooter, a French guy on a not so cool scooter, and a brunette with a tight butt), I had freshly made pasta, gnocchi, and pizza. I also had their burrata and so many other things. It was SO FUCKING GOOD that I changed my plans to get back there the next day. My first visits were in 2018. I got back in 2019, and guess what, the staff remembered me! I wonder if they remembered me for the boobs or for the fact I was the girl waiting in front of their restaurant at 11 AM one year ago! It always shocks me how OFTEN I get recognized when I go back to a place in Europe, even if it's two or three years later. Side note. I had planned to go to the Vatican after my lunch. Walking from the restaurant to the Vatican was a 30-minute walk. When you are filled with pasta and pizza, and it's almost 35C outside...this was a living hell walk! haha Anyways, once again, I can't stop talking. Here are some pictures from my visits. Oh, and I forgot to talk about the sauces. Holy Pope, they were gooooooood! The sauces were, didn't taste the Pope so can't comment on that matter. And the wine list...and I'm hungry now! Good job, Riley, for making yourself crave pasta now! Write that down in your stops if you ever go to Rome and ask them if they remember that Canadian pasta craving blonde slut waiting at their door at 11 AM ;)
