As promised, we're traveling to Canada today, my native and homeland :) We're visiting one of the country's most popular destinations among international tourists during wintertime, Banff !!! Oh, and I was there in December 2019. Stop messaging me "enjoy your trip" to gain cuteness points, for fuck sake. It's a Covid world right now, and there's no way I could visit all those places or even be in those fully packed indoor spots! LOL I've said it in every post that those are old trips! The only thing you do is prove you're not reading the post, haha. Let's focus on the pictures now :) They were taken in the middle of this small town. Can you see how gorgeous the view of the mountains is? God, I remember how FREEZING it was! -23C ! For those who didn't know, Banff is a "resort" town in Alberta. It is located within Banff National Park. The mountains you see all over my pictures are the Rocky Mountains :) Yes, there are elk, grizzlies, and a bunch of other wildlife around. From what I was told, it isn't rare to see one of them walking through town from time to time. Although only about 7,000 people are living there, the town gets CRAZY busy with tourism! Let's say that it isn't Covid friendly during the holidays or in the summertime! As you will see in my burger picture, I found, in my opinion, the best burger place around there. It's called Eddie Burger & Bar. They have elk patties, bison patties, and all their beef patties are made 100% with Alberta beef, one of the best beef in Canada! I tried the rocky mountain, and it was to die for. Elk patty, blueberry chutney, cheddar, romaine lettuce, sautéed onion, mayo, served on a brioche bun. SAY WHAAAATTTTTT! I SWEAR, elk patty is delicious! lol They also got a milkshake bar, local beer, and some nice cocktails! You need calories to stay warm, and this was definitely a good place to do so! :) Lastly, I stopped at Banff Park Distillery. What can warm you up better than hard liquor? I've visited countless distilleries all over that world, and to be honest, I would skip that one if I was you. It was good to warm me up, but that's about it, LOL I ended up walking around town for an hour, admiring the boutiques' architecture that looks like mini castles. Laughed at all the cliche gift shops. Man, they aren't original! But I had a good time overall! I was only there for half a day on my way to Lake Louise. This is for today.
