Let’s get SUPER HIGH before watching. * Best / Worst Character: * Best: I’m gonna go with the 2 brothers, Brax & J.D.. They’re just cute as fuck together and kind of make you laugh while everyone else is running around having emotional breakdowns or revelations or whatever the fuck people do in horror movies. * Worst: Patrick Sullivan. He’s just a very boring kind of character. CIS White Male wants to be a hero because daddy died in the war — but ends up being a pussy cop. BlahBlahBlah * My Thoughts: Yo, I don’t understand how this got SUCH bad reviews. Like, I get that it’s not GREAT or LIFE CHANGING, but it’s fucking good. It has twists, it has some really strong actors, it’s a weird twist off the original show. I enjoyed the whole damn thing. It’s not really scary but it’s like “Cabin in the woods” level pop up scares. The end of it gets a little wild but they had to work with the concept of “an island that magically gives people their deepest fantasies”. I’m not saying this is GOOD but I don’t see how it has worse rating than “The Nun” or like any of the “Annabelle” movies * Biggest WTF Moment: They kept referencing a tattoo that Brax has and it ends up being his “nickname” from college and it’s literally “tattoo” so they call him tattoo at the end and he becomes the guys assistant haha * Do I recommend? Rating: I would give it a solid rating 6 out of 10. I probably won’t rewatch it OFTEN but I’ll probably end up putting it on while I’m falling asleep one night in the next few months… and I enjoyed the journey haha. * *Edibles would make this more fun than a sober watch
