Added 2020-06-06 11:00:41 +0000 UTCI miss doing burlesque so badly. I basically took the last year off almost completely (besides a couple shows a dear friend asked me to perform in). And now my troupe is going on hiatus due to the 'rona virus & we won't be having another show until November, I believe. Laaaaame. Burlesque gives me something to work on that's REAL. It's not like regular stripping. You can be more stylized with your costuming, for one. If I wore this vintage slip at the club I'd laughed off stage & make NO MONEY. Lol. But in most burlesque shows, you're paid a specific fee in total & in advance so you can really do whatever you want. Within reason. But I don't have to worry about if what I'm wearing or how I'm moving is marketable in the way that I have to worry at the club. It's such a release & a way to use all the dance training I received growing up! Have you seen me perform burlesque yet? If not, would you come see me perform? I generally hang out with my fans at my shows after I perform too! I love having a drink or two with my homies!
