Not only did I make my BIGO goal but I also had my 2 best girlfriends over for me to to their hair. I kinda haven't found my groove working in the spa doing hair yet but I LOVE doing the hair of my friends. It always reminds me that I actually do love my newly learned trade & inspires me to want to start getting regulars that I can get to know & have as much fun with. I am struggling in my new career to be honest. I don't know my customers & they're generally not... My kind of people. Eek! I hate to say that but it's true! Which I get that as a person working in a service industry like beauty, I won't always vibe with my clients. But I'm having a hard time really WANTING to work lately. I wish I could just do online work forever. But I realize that's also not realistic so I'm trying to hard to LOVE being a hair dresser. If I could do anything, I'd just do makeup, probably. Or at least MAINLY. I did my first wedding this weekend (makeup) & I FREAKING LOVED IT! It was like time wasn't even passing. I stood & did makeup for about 4 hours straight & I never once thought, "What am I even doing with my life?" Which is something I definitely say to myself often when I'm doing hair. I can't lose myself in hair like I can with makeup. At least not with clients I don't know. When I'm with friends, it's fun. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? When you first got into a position that you trained hard to be in, did you constantly question if it was all worth it? Just me? Lol. Of course.
